Paver Patios & Walkways in Northern Kentucky
K&M installs paver patios and walkways across Boone County and Greater Cincinnati — excavated and set on compacted base so they stay flat through Kentucky winters. One crew handles design, prep, install and cleanup.

Patio & walkway work.
Paver patios
Outdoor living space sized and shaped for how you'll actually use it.
Walkways & paths
Clean, level paths that replace mud tracks and stepping-stone wobble.
Steps & landings
Grade changes handled with proper steps instead of awkward slopes.
Patio + wall combos
Cut into a slope with a retaining wall to create flat space that wasn't there.
Done the way this ground demands.
A paver patio is only as good as what's under it. Northern Kentucky's freeze-thaw cycle will find every shortcut in the base work — that's why you see patios around town with waves, sunken corners and joints full of weeds. We dig to proper depth, compact in lifts, and set pavers on a base built for this climate.
Patios also rarely travel alone. Most of our patio projects pair with a retaining wall, steps, a fire area or a deck — the 'outdoor living' package. Because we build all of it, the levels, drainage and materials actually work together.

Patios & Walkways questions.
Anything else — ask on the walk-through. You'll get the same straight answer either way.
Pavers or poured concrete — which is better?
Both have their place. Pavers handle freeze-thaw movement better and repair invisibly — you can lift and relay a section instead of living with a crack. Poured concrete costs less up front. We do both, so you'll get an honest comparison for your project, not a sales pitch for one.
Why do patios sink or heave around here?
Water and clay. If the base isn't excavated deep enough and compacted properly, our soil moves it every winter. The fix is doing the invisible work right the first time.
How long does a patio install take?
Most residential patios run a few days to a week depending on size, access and what's paired with them. You'll get a real timeline with your estimate — and we clean up when we leave.
