Overgrowth & brush
Honeysuckle, briars, cedar and scrub ground down to a clean mulch layer.
Pasture & field reclaim
Edges and whole fields pushed back to grass-ready ground.
Trails & access lanes
Paths, hunting lanes and equipment access opened through wooded ground.
Fence rows & property lines
Lines cleared without disturbing the ground they sit on.
Done the way this ground demands.
Forestry mulching is the cleanest way to take ground back from overgrowth. Instead of cutting, piling and burning — or paying to haul brush away — a mulching head grinds everything standing into chips right where it grew. The mulch layer left behind holds the soil, keeps the regrowth down and breaks down into the ground over time.
Around here it's the go-to for reclaiming pasture edges, opening up trails and hunting lanes, clearing honeysuckle and cedar that's swallowed a fence row, and knocking back acreage that's gotten away from its owner — without turning the property into a mud lot.
Mulching is the right call when
- You want overgrowth gone without burn piles or hauling
- The ground should stay intact — no bare-dirt scraping
- Brush and scrub are the problem, not big timber
- You're reclaiming pasture, lanes or lines on acreage

Forestry Mulching questions.
Anything else — ask on the walk-through. You'll get the same straight answer either way.
What size trees can be mulched?
Mulching shines on brush, scrub and smaller trees; bigger timber is usually better felled and handled as tree work. We do both, so the plan fits the ground — not the one machine we happen to own.
Is mulching better than bulldozing?
For most reclaim work, yes — a dozer strips ground bare and leaves push piles; mulching leaves soil structure in place with a mulch cover that suppresses regrowth. If the ground's being built on, that changes the answer — we'll tell you which fits.
What's left when you're done?
A walkable layer of wood chips where the overgrowth stood. No piles, nothing to burn, nothing to haul. It weathers down into the soil over the following seasons.
